The Graduate School of Science and Technology offers a short term (1 semester to 1 full academic year) student exchange program to our partner institutions listed below. This exchange program is based on the agreement between our partner institutions and the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Keio University.

Application Schedule

For 2024 Fall Semester (September 22, 2024 - March 31, 2025) Enrollment

  • Application Deadline: March 22, 2024
  • Notice of Results: by Late May, 2024

For 2025 Spring Semester (April 1, 2025 - September 21, 2025) Enrollment

  • Application Deadline: October 25, 2024
  • Notice of Results: by Late December, 2024

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students must be nominated by their home university.
  • Students must hold a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree, and be enrolled in Master's level at their home university during the whole exchange period.

Application Procedure

Before applying, please read through the Overview of Short Term Internatioal Student .

  1. Please contact International Office at your home institution for nomination procedure.
  2. Once you are nominated, check the requirements and choose a program.
  3. If you choose Research Based Program or Research and Courses Program, you need to find a prospective supervisor and get accepted by him/her.
    You can search our faculty members from the Staff Profile .
  4. Prepare the required documents and ID photos. After completed, kindly submit them online by applicant, following the instruction at the "Required Application Documents" below.

1. Short-term International Student Application Form

2. Statement of Purpose for Research Stay

* Only applicable to students applying for "Research based Program" and "Research and Courses Program".

* Do not forget your signature and the date on the bottom of your paper.

3. Course Registration Plan

* Only applicable to students appying for "Research and Courses Program" and "Courses focused Program".

4. Official Transcript (in English)

5. Certificate of Health

* Must be completed and signed by a physician, NOT by the student.

6. Pledge for"Security Export Controls under the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act"

* Please write date and your name

7. Effective passport copy of your face page

8. Application for Certificate of Eligibility (COE)

* The Certificate of Eligibility is one of the required documents for your student visa application. Please attach digital data of your ID photo on the first page.

9. Application for Dormitory

* Only applicable to students who wish to apply for Keio University dormitories.

* Please read the Dormitory Information carefully and apply through Online Application Site .
