The Graduate School of Science and Technology offers a short term (1 semester to 1 full academic year) student exchange program to our partner institutions listed below. This exchange program is based on the agreement between our partner institutions and the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Keio University.

Application Schedule

For 2021 Fall Semester (September 22, 2021 - March 31, 2022) Enrollment

  • Application Deadline: March 19, 2021
  • Notice of Results: by May 20, 2021

For 2022 Spring Semester (April 1, 2022 - September 21, 2022) Enrollment (TBD)

  • Application Deadline: Early November, 2021
  • Notice of Results: Late December, 2021

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students must be nominated by their home university.
  • Students must hold a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree, and be enrolled in Master's level at their home university during the whole exchange period.

Application Procedure

Before applying, please read through the Overview of Short Term International Student .

  1. Please contact International Office at your home institution for nomination procedure.
  2. Once you are nominated, check the requirements and choose a program.
  3. If you choose Research Based Program or Research and Courses Program, you need to find a prospective supervisor and get accepted by him/her.
    You can search our faculty members from the Staff Profile .
  4. Prepare the required documents and ID photos. After completed, kindly submit them online by applicant and hand them over to the international office at your home institution, following the instruction at the "Required Application Documents" below.
  5. The designated documents should be sent from the international office at your home institution by airmail. Documents submitted directly by the applicants via mail service will not be accepted.

* Only applicable to students applying for "Research and Courses Program" and "Courses focused Program"

* Course list for Academic Year 2021 will be available only around early April 2021. Please refer to the course list for Academic Year 2020 below to fill in the Course Registration Plan.

* The Certificate of Eligibility is one of the required documents for your Student Visa application. Please fill in this application form, referring to the sample below.

8. Application for Dormitory

* Only applicable to students who wish to apply for Keio University dormitories

* Please read the Dormitory Information carefully and apply through Online Application Site .



9. 2 ID photos (4cm x 3cm) taken within 3 months: Color, glossy, no background

* These photos are used for the Short-term International Student Application Form and Application for Certificate of Eligibility.
