New Kyurizukai

In our 21st-century society, science and technology are becoming increasingly diverse and difficult. In 1868, Keio’s founder Yukichi Fukuzawa published the book entitled “Kinmo Kyurizukai” – claimed to be the first book on Western science for teaching the young and novices in an easy-to-understand way. Getting back to the origin as advocated in this book, Keio University Faculty of Science and Technology intends to disseminate information on its research works in an easy-to-comprehend way. Each issue of the “New Kyurizukai” will highlight one research scientist. This website allows our readers to read the full version of an article some parts of which had to be omitted due to space limitations.
