開放環境科学専攻開放環境科学専攻87コンピュータサイエンス専修The Center for Computer ScienceInternet/Distributed systemsインターネット/分散システムTERAOKA, Fumio寺岡 文男モバイル&ユビキタス時代を見据えたインターネット及び分散システムの研究を行っている。現在のインターネットはさまざまな要求に応えられなくなっている。そこでモバイル、ユビキタス、耐障害性、セキュリティなどの観点からインターネットアーキテクチャを見直し、その上で動作する分散システムの構築を目指している。This laboratory focuses on Internet architecture/protocols and distributed systems which lead to coming mobile and ubiquitous era. The current Internet cannot support various demands. This laboratory aims at redesign of Internet architecture in terms of mobility, ubiquity, fault tolerance, security, and privacy. There are many valuable software components and so-called services, but we need mechanisms to find and integrate appropriate ones. Such mechanisms must not forget to take into account the human aspect; software developers are human not robots. Our laboratory strives to explore several promising computer science paradigms, such as provenance, differential topology, concurrency, unification, and multimodality, toward practical applications in a variety of fields.我々の身の回りには多数の計算機が存在し、ネットワークを介して協調動作している。我々は、結合網を要素技術として、スパコン向けネットワーク、センサーネットワーク、チップ内・間ネットワークなどを研究している。また、センシングした物理情報をもとに、いかに計算機環境を最適化するかという問題にも取り組んでいる。Interconnection networks that connect computational elements are used in digital systems of all sizes and types. Our research topics cover various on-chip and off-chip interconnection networks, ranging from large-scale high-performance computer networks to on-chip micro networks that connect many processing elements on a chip. I place great importance on considering what is required for the highly-networked information society in future.
